The ski test on the Theodul Glacier in Zermatt is surely one of the finest experiences to be had high up in the Alps. The Matterhorn Test Centre offers visitors the opportunity to try out the latest models of ski from 16 different brands in a unique setting. A ski-in ski-out experience in a class of its own!

Stöckli Skitest
Stöckli skis are unique pieces crafted from the highest quality materials such as wood, bamboo or carbon fibre. If you are interested in finding out how Stöckli skis are made, you can visit the Stöckli works in Malter near Lucerne for a fascinating look behind the scenes. Over a period of two days, the latest models from the Stöckli ski range can be tested at the foot of the Matterhorn. Choose your preferred arrival date between 15 November and 22 December 2024, select from the choice of three Stöckli partner hotels and choose half board or breakfast only.
The Stöckli test centre is open from the end of October to the end of April. You just have to bring your own boots and poles. Did you like a particular model? It can be purchased directly from Bayard Sport, the official sales outlet in Zermatt, or any of the other Stöckli outlets throughout Switzerland.

- You can swap skis for testing as often as you wish from/to Trockener Steg.
- Only bookable in conjunction with a valid ski pass.

Groups and teams
The modern premises with the Matterhorn as an impressive backdrop are more than simply a venue for testing the latest skis. From January to September, the main room which hosts the official ski test from October to November can also be used for all kinds of events, meetings and courses. Depending on the seating plan, up to 460 participants can enjoy a unique experience including views of the Matterhorn. With a floor space of 460 m2, it is the largest room in Zermatt.
