New Matterhorn-Express valley station
The new valley station on Schluhmattstrasse presents itself in the familiar blue colour of Zermatt Bergbahnen. The Sales Points, sanitary facilities, ticket machines and ski lockers are installed on two floors.
The first part of the valley station was completed at the start of the new year. Access to the cable car and the Matterhorn-Express is at ground level and access to the station is barrier-free.
The sales points will be back in the main building from tomorrow, Thursday 11 January 2024. The ski lockers have been available for use since Christmas, as have the ticket machines and sanitary facilities.
Tomorrow, Thursday 11 January 2024, Zermatt Bergbahnen will be holding a giveaway event with homemade mulled wine and punch at the new station from 2 pm to 4 pm. We look forward to many visits.
